This is a real extraordinary piece of cycling history!
The first prototype Francesco Moser Leader ridden by non other than german cycling legend Dietrich “Didi” Thurau. Completely original with a first gen. Campagnolo C-Record/Cobalto groupset. This beautiful piece of art has seen some real PRO peloton kilometers in the races next to the big names from cycling legends in the mid 1980s like Francesco Moser, Bernard Hinault, Jan Raas, Patrick Sercu, Eddy Merckx among many others.
Thurau was riding for Team Supermercati Brianzoli in ’86 where this incredible Moser Leader had it’s debut. This specific bicycle still has the “Fender Rad- und Sport Spezial”-sticker on it, who was Thuraus personal bicycle mechanic back in the day.
