Extremely rare Fausto Coppi time trial bike. One of the most eye-catching rides to pass through our shop of late, this has it all. The curved Oria tube set combines to give a well-proportioned frame, and it’s all finished in a gold base coat with black crosshatching, and black airbrushing around the lugs.
Paint and decals are in excellent condition. The deep-gold anodised C-Record crankset and seat post are the most immediate pieces to jump out at you, engraved with italicised Coppi script. We’ve certainly never come anything else like them, and we’ve just about seen it all here. The 52/39 chainrings are in great condition. The wheel set features FIR hubs laced to high-flange silver rims. 18 hole, 650c FIR Aria in the front, and a 24 hole, 700c FIR Super Rialto in the back.
Radial laced non drive side, with DT Swiss bladed aero spokes. The dark anodised ITM Crono TT handlebar has been paired to a black 3ttt 80mm stem with Coppi pantography. The original black hood rubbers are in perfect condition, with no tears, and are still soft.
No scratches to the lever arms. Campagnolo Delta brakes are in great condition and work smoothly. The C-Record rear derailleur has been mirror-polished, and will require only a dab of polish every once in a while to keep it looking perfect. The pantographed and anodised seat post is in great condition, and is topped with an original black leather Selle Italia Flite saddle.
All components work fine, there are no major scratches or dents. As can clearly be seen in the photo set, there is nothing to hide on this characterful bike. Let us know if you would like any further closeups.
