Luigi Daccordi is a traditional Italian Bicycle builder. The family business started in 1937 and they are still building bikes today. In the early beginnings the production was mainly everyday vehicles but later they started to create great racing machines. And from 1981 on, they entered the market for top of the line racing frames with stunning products and designs. Their creations belong to most beautiful and advanced steel bikes of the 1980s and 1990s. And this exemplar from the ’90s era is no exception.
Under the shiny purple paint job lays a structure of solid Columbus Cromor tubes. The most popular choice for racing bikes in the early 1990s. The sophisticated frame is made using the ‘Uniblock’ brazing system, similar to fillet brazing, a fine finish without lugs. The routing of the brake cable is cleanly integrated.
We set up the bike a little bit more modern than would be period correct. We wanted to make the bike more comfortable to ride and still keep the classic shape. This bike, with its first class frame, the fine paint work, delightful group set, compact gearing and great condition will certainly make its new owner very happy. It can cope with commuting long tours or sportive group rides. Everything shifts, brakes and rides very well, with no problems. There are no dents, cracks or bends. If you would prefer a tubular wheel set, then just message us and we can discuss it!
