Nicely preserved Colnago Mexico road bike, complete with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset and top quality Modolo brakes.
The bike is in remarkable condition for its age (early 1980s), having only seen a little use. Included are a selection of original Colnago-pantographed components, 3ttt bar and stem and Campagnolo Super Record Colnago Panto seat post. The rest of the groupset is Campagnolo Nuovo Record with the exception of the Modolo Professional brakes and levers. The black rubber brake hoods are in top condition, and the stitched leather handlebar wrap is also new. Yellow stitches, of course. Brake and shifter cables are both new, as is the chain. Saddle is an original leather Selle San Marco Concor Supercorsa, chosen to suit the age and style of the bike. Headset is an original Superleggero OMAS, much lighter than the Campagnolo Super Record !
Finished in elegant black with yellow decals, the paint is still in good condition with only a few small scratches and chips. Some light scratches to the underside of the top tube. All chrome is bright and intact. Nice wheel set too, featuring a pair of low-flange Campagnolo Record hubs laced to dark anodised Mavic GP4 tubular rims, 36 front / 36 rear. It’s possible to exchange the wheels for a similar set of clincher rims if you prefer, just let us know and we can organise something for you. All in all, a top quality, professional grade racing bike with no dents, cracks, rust or any other problems. This bike meets the entry requirements for any L’Eroica-style event.
