Arabesque was a celebration of everything there was to love (or hate) about Italian racing steel from the early 80s. An elaborate flourish of a bicycle, it’s a tribute to the exuberant style for which the Cambiago-based maker is famous for.
Released in 1983, the Arabesque was available as a frame-and-fork only or specified complete with a Campagnolo Super Record gruppo and featured hand-carved and pantographed lug work. It was assembled from Columbus SL and Record tubing, which was ribbed in accordance with Colnago’s proprietary design. This specific example we’ve outfitted completely with the rarest gruppo out there – Campagnolo 50th Anniversary. The most exquisite parts were chosen to make this Gem into a piece of art.
At Cicli Berlinetta our goal before every classic steel bicycle assembly is to complete the build up into a long lasting masterpiece.
