Early prototype of the now-iconic Cinelli Laser frameset. Hand built from Columbus steel tubing in the workshop of Andrea Pesenti around 1984-85. Features sloping fork crown with winged cut-outs. Very few of these frames exist, and all are highly collectable. We’ve put all of our effort into building this bike up properly, and can think of nothing else we would add to it.
Presented with a matching Campagnolo Record Pista groupset. 1″ threaded aluminium Campagnolo Super Record Pista headset. 165mm Campagnolo Record Pista crankset from 1984 garnished with Cinellli M71 hand-release platform pedals. 51 tooth chainring. Polished fluted aero Campagnolo Record seat post crowned with an aerodynamic Concor Profil saddle in black suede. Campagnolo Khamsin disc wheels with Vittoria Special Pro “19” Racing Team tubular front tyre and a ‘no name’ rear tubular. Both hold air and have been kept pumped up. Forward sloping Cinelli Pista quill stem with soft silver anodizing, gripping a Cinelli L.A. 84 pursuit bar, wrapped in silver Benotto tape and finished off with chrome Cinelli bar end caps. Bottom bracket appears to be stamped “FCI 21” although this is very hard to make out. Also has the original ‘4’ painted on the head tube from the national team pursuit event.
- 88.8cm wheelbase
