Very rare and well-preserved Wilier Triestina Pista complete bicycle, from the early 1980s. We’ve been slowly restoring this bicycle for a long time now, and have finally arrived at a build with which we are very happy. Original Wilier Cromovelato ‘Ramato’ finish, consisting of a slightly-tinted clear coat applied over the top of a fully-chromed frame set. Difficult to execute and almost impossible to imitate, the Ramato treatment was only applied to the top Wilier frame sets.
We built the frame up with a period-correct Campagnolo Record Pista group set, in excellent condition. Chrome steel, loose ball Record Pista headset. 167.5mm Record Pista crankset, with original Italian-threaded bottom bracket and 50t chainring. Record Pista hub set, 28 front / 32 rear, laced to high-end Swiss-made Assos tubular rims with black Continental Podium tyres. Wilier Triestina pantographed 27.2mm seat post and black leather 3ttt saddle. 120mm 3ttt stem with Wilier pantography, and 38mm 3ttt pista handlebar. Gloss black Ambrosio bar tape.
The bike is in great original condition with no dents or cracks. Wheels are true and have good tension. Headset and bottom bracket both excellent. We’ve set the bike up according to our taste, with a view to preserving the classic look and style. In saying that, if you would like to make some small changes (saddle, bar tape etc), then often this is possible. We have a large inventory of classic components acquired over the last 13 years and are happy to do our best to accommodate any request.
