Introduced after the Aero style components in the mid 1980s, Sante was positioned below Dura Ace and above Ultegra 600. This group was intended to be a stylish semi Pro level package.
Very nice hubs with higher flanges than the Dura Ace 7400 series hubs. These used a unique rubber grommet type seal which works well but over decades tends to become brittle and crack if not properly cared for. The internals are very high quality, roll exceptionally well, and last a very long time if properly maintained. The freehub body is uniglide but can easily be swapped out for a hyperglide unit if desired.
Rear hub is a 7 speed Uniglide design, however it is possible to swap on a Hypergide freehub.
