Patelli Super Corsa 55 cm road bike for sale, from their professional workshop in Bologna. This appears to be a custom frame, as it lacks the model designation that can be found on most other Patellis of this era. This example has several exquisite features that set it it apart from the rest. The rear brake cable is hidden in a groove that runs underneath the top tube. The lugs have been left partially open at the fork ends and rear dropouts, and semi-internal cable routing for the rear derailleur. Small braze-ons have been added to get the cable routing perfect on the way to the front and rear derailleur. The fork crown is one of the most intricate we have seen in a long time, and the lugs are custom with small details. An early use of Columbus AIR tubing for the seat stays lend the frame a sleek appearance, and the rest of the frame is made of Columbus SL steel. Painted in high quality cream with pale blue logos. The lug details are also filled in the same pale blue. A very tasteful classic paint scheme!
Fitted with Campagnolo Super Record / Nuovo Record groupset. Drivetrain is full Super Record, with a 1982 rear derailleur and 1984 crankset in amazingly well-preserved condition. Original steel spiral housing. Crank arms are perfect with only the smallest amount of wear to the chainrings (52/42 teeth). Aluminium ZEUS 2000 6 speed screw on freewheel, in great condition. Chain is a Regina, with a lot of life left in it to ride many a L’Eroica. Brake levers are Super Record, as are the brakes – domed quick release levers with alloy brake pad holders. Hoods are white NOS Campagnolo, freshly installed. Shifter levers are Campagnolo Record, with the insides drilled and filed out to leave only a little aluminium. Headset is chromed steel Nuovo Record and turns smoothly, bottom bracket is also Nuovo Record and is in great condition. Two bolt Campagnolo seatpost with unique high quality Patelli pantography (razor sharp edges), and pantographed 100mm 3ttt stem. Genuine leather Selle San Marco Supercorsa saddle in black, with chrome steel rails. Wheel set is Campagnolo Record low-flange hubset, laced to grey anodised NISI EKIP rims (very rare, and not previously encountered by us). 32 holes front and rear. NOS vintage 22mm Hutchinson Super Corsa tubular tyres, skin wall to give this professional ride that perfect look. Campagnolo seatpost bolt.
