Let’s stop the clock!

Bicycle Restoration – turn back the clock!
At Cicli Berlinetta, our passion for vintage road bikes encompasses more than just the best preserved examples. Sometimes we’ll come across bicycles upon which the years have visibly taken their toll, but beneath the tatty paint hides a well crafted machine deserving of refinishing to bring it back to its former glory. Fortunately we know a master bicycle frame builder who works wonders with both his torch and his paint gun. He can straighten misaligned frames, replace damaged drop-outs and dented tubes, match the original paint and recreate the graphics.
If you have an old bike which you would like to restore, we can advise on what work would be required and the costs involved. Every such project begins with an individual assessment, but the following prices are a good indication of what to budget for.
Replace a tube / derailleur hanger: ca. €150,-
Frame realignment: ca. €150,-
Sandblasting / preparation: €50,-
Repaint (wet): €300,-
Decals (replication and application): ca. €50,-
Depicted here is a vintage Bianchi which we gave the full treatment, brought back to its best after years of neglect and abuse.
Custom, made-to-measure bicycle frame and forks
Now and then we have the pleasure of meeting a cyclist who desires a bicycle tailor-made to their very specific requirements. We like nothing more than discussing and refining their ideas, and commissioning our frame builder to turn their dreams into the finished article. We can advise what tubing would be best suitable, what size and geometry, which details to include and what to omit. We’ll help you design a paint scheme, from mild to wild, and share your delight when the shiny unblemished new frame and fork surpasses expectations.
Over the years we’ve had many satisfied customers testify that the time and expense required were well worth their investment. If your heart is set on a unique bike, a pure expression of your cycling style, let us show you what is possible. The end product will inevitably delight both owner and vendor.

Ciao and big bicycle regards from Berlin Prenzlauer Berg!
