Classic early ’70s Sergio Patelli road bicycle, carefully restored and in very nice condition. Nicely equipped with a set of yellow leather-wrapped 3ttt handlebars to match the downtube logos, 110mm stem, Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset and Universal Super 68 brakes and levers. 1973 Nuovo Record rear derailleur, matching NR front derailleur, 1973 170mm NR crankset, all in very nice condition. Chrome steel NR headset and NR bottom bracket, both with fresh grease. Two-bolt custom fluted NR seatpost, for fine adjustability and rock solid performance. Cinelli Unicanitor saddle, in good condition with just a small scuff at the rear. Wheel set is comprised of Campagnolo Record hubs, laced to polished silver Nisi tubular rims. 120mm spacing, for five-speed screw-on freewheels.
The only flaw on the bike is the rubber hoods on the Universal brakes, which are starting to crack. These can be replaced with modern reproductions or simply wrapped with tape. We have left them precariously in place for the time being. This would make a perfect bike for any L’Eroica style event! Made at the turn of the ’70s, this machine will amply satisfy both the entry requirements and the spirit of the event.
