Angelo Fausto Coppi, Il Campionissimo, was the dominant international cyclist of the years each side of the Second World War winning 5 Giro D’Italia and 2 Tour de France titles amongst others astride his Bianchi.
“In the late 1950s, Fausto Coppi wanted to start producing his own classic Italian racing bicycles. He made a deal with Fiorelli in Novi Ligure for the manufacture of bicycles under his name. These vintage bicycles were very similar to Fiorelli’s own designs, apart from the finish and branding. When the Campionissimo passed away in a malaria fever in 1960, this contract was still valid and the production of Fausto Coppi branded bicycles continued.”
