Podium Frameset 55cm
Carrera was a noted brand of Italian jeans and clothing. They sponsored pro teams from 1984-1996 and Professional road racing frame set built in Bresia by Carrera. Ridden by the likes of Roberto Visentini, Claudio Chiappucci, Stephen Roche, Marco Pantani, Paulo Bettini and Ivan Basso in the 1980s and 1990s. Carrera frames are very nicely finished, this one is no exception, this is most likely a mid-1990’s frameset.
With internally routed cables, fastback seatstays, near shoulderless pantographed fork crown and oversized tubing the Podium was a functional, crisp bicycle for serious racers who didn’t want to break the bank with a full fledged pro bike. This replica offers all of the perks minus the 5 digit price tag.
