Top quality Sabliere road racing frameset, from the mid 1990s.
Handmade from Columbus Altec aluminium tubing in St. Etienne, France. The tubes were welded, smoothed, polished, and finally painted with tinted clearcoat in a similar style to the Wilier Triestina cromovelato finish. Aluminium fork with steel shaft. Quite lightweight at approx 1600g for the frame and 500g for the fork. 130mm for 8 speed cassette hubs. Internal brake cable routing along the top tube. Steel shifter mounts on the downtube.
Crown race seat has been punched a few times (not by us) to ensure a tight interference fit for the bottom headset piece. We checked with a Campagnolo crown race, and it fits tightly. Aluminium bottom bracket shell has a BSA thread.
Headset is machined and only for picture purposes.
