Top quality road bike frameset from Patelli, the highly regarded manufacturers of high quality bicycle frames and forks in Bologna. Dating from approximately 1986/87, the frame has been lightly used but is in excellent condition. Some paint chips have been touched up. It has a single layer of chrome underneath the paint, and a double layer on the fork chain- and seat stays. Rear derailleur cable runs underneath the right chain stay and then pops out near the dropout. Patelli signature detailing to the drop outs, with the tubes left open to save weight and provide full drainage.
All threads are in good condition, and there are no dents or signs of ever having been crashed. The rear triangle has been widened to 130mm, the alignment checked, and it now fits a cassette hub well. This is an opportunity to get a top quality frame at an excellent price! We find Patelli’s workmanship to be every bit as good as perhaps better known companies such as De Rosa, Colnago, Pinarello or Casati, and regard them as one of the best frame building shops.
