2006

First exhibition of classic bicycles at the Berlin 6 Day Races. First road trip to the Milan – San Remo one day classic, and to both the Giro D’Italia, the TDF and the World Championships! Second batch of Cicli Berlinetta Columbus steel framesets. Custom geometry, custom paint. New high-end model, the ‘Doppia Pista’ and ‘Doppia Strada’. Columbus SL tubing, three colour paintwork.

2007

Met Eric Zabel again, at the 6 Days, where we had a larger exhibition than the previous year. Other visitors included Olaf Ludwig and Tefe Schur, both legends in German bicycle racing. Our reputation grew to include overseas customers. We sent mad-to-measure frame sets to Australia, the States, Canada and Japan.

2008

Exhibition at the 100th Berlin 6 Days. Provided vintage track bikes to be ridden by previous 6 Day Champions in the ‘Ehrenrunde’ (Honour Lap). Brought the first Colnago Futura and Stash frame sets to Canada in a whirlwind 48hr adventure. TV appearance on ‘Galileo’ (Pro7) on the subject of ‘riding bikes without brakes on the street’. Milan-SanRemo, Giro and TDF. Met and befriended Didi ‘Der Teufel’ Senf high up on the Col de Galibier. Began to outgrow our premises. New merchandise including caps, arm warmers, socks, t-shirts and winter hats. First hand built cyclocross frames, the ‘Cross’. Introduction of engraved Cicli Berlinetta front and rear drop-outs. Met Moser at the Cycling World Championships in Varese.

2009

Exhibited at the Berlin 6 Days trade show. First signature Cicli Berlinetta frame construction elements, laser engraved; ’crown’ motif bottom bracket shell, seat stay caps, brake bridge, lower head lug and long tab flat fork crowns. First attendance at L’Eroica. Hallowe’en Alleycat on a tandem – with a flat rear tubular for most of the race! Relaunch of the website by a new webmaster, including a blog, and a new look.

2010

Moved to larger premises in Schoenfliesser Strasse, Prenzlauer Berg. Saw Paris-Roubaix one day classic. Son Leon Ryder born September. Collaborated with Adidas on a baby blue Cicli Berlinetta Pista with white graphics, which was displayed in their flagship Mitte store window for a year. TDF road trip. Introduced our first sloping top tube frame design, the Cicli Berlinetta ’Crono’. Photo shoot for our first ‘sexy’ poster art with Tino Pohlmann. Print interview in ‘Der Freitag’ broadsheet newspaper.
