Mid-’90s complete bicycle, built for Cicli Lazzaretti of Rome.
The bike has been overhauled, and is now fitted with a complete Campagnolo 8 speed Ergopower groupset. 8 speed Ergo still has its die-hard fans, who love its hard-wearing nature and responsive shifting. The rider definitely gets a lot more feedback when shifting that with later groups, and especially compared to Shimano products! Campagnolo Veloce shifters, Athena brakes and Chorus aero seatpost with white leather Selle San Marco Rolls saddle top off the build. Wheelset is 36h Campagnolo Chorus hubs laced to dark anodised Campagnolo Omega V rims.
Columbus SL frame with Columbus Air seatstays and unicrown fork. Cutouts in the bottom bracket shell to save weight. Paint is nicely preserved, with just a couple of very minor chips here and there – on the top tube and underneath the down tube. Chrome is likewise in great condition throughout.
The bike has been set up with new cables and bar tape, and everything rides, brakes and shifts as as it should. Chain and cassette have been checked with Rohloff tool and are well within the wear limits. No dents or cracks.
We’ve set the bike up according to our taste, with a view to preserving the classic look and style. In saying that, if you would like to make some small changes (saddle, bar tape etc), then often this is possible. We have a large inventory of classic components acquired over the last 13 years and are happy to do our best to accommodate any request.
