The iconic Colnago Master is undoubtedly THE evergreen of cycling. It has been released first in 1983 and five
different versions of the Colnago Master followed then until 1998 (the Master 1983, Master Più 1988, Master
Olympic 1991, Master Light 1994 and Master X-Light 1998).
Thanks to this legendary frame, Colnago mastered the peak of steel frame design and in same time the Master also
represents the end of the steel era in the bicycle industry.
Released in 1991, the Colnago Master Olympic shares with its predecessors the famous crimped tubing, designed by
Gilberto Colombo to make the frame stiffer and more reactive. The Olympic was well known for very funky, arabesque
paint schemes and especially the famous Art Decor pattern.
Groupset is the classic Campagnolo Record 8 speed, with a newer 1996 Campagnolo Atlanta rims
and Record hubs. Aero seatpost matches the groupset, and it is topped with a classic 90ies San Marco saddle.
The cockpit is a classic short 3ttt stem with matching 40cm handlebars.
The bike was built by us, and will undergo a further tuning in our workshop before shipping. Cables, chain
and bar tape are new. The bike is in good working order, and there are no technical issues. No cracks, bends or dents.
We’ve set the bike up according to our taste, with a view to preserving the classic look and style. In saying that, if you
would like to make some small changes (saddle, bar tape etc), then often this is possible. We have a large inventory of
classic components acquired over the last 15 years.
