1974 Colnago Super Road Bike 52 cm c-c Campagnolo Nuovo Record Columbus SL 3ttt

Nicely preserved 1974 Colnago Super road bike, complete with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record
groupset from 1976-77, rare 3ttt #10 lightweight saddle, some custom rare panto parts that
we produced in our work-shop, 32 hole Martano rims, paint & Colnago decals are all original.

Few bicycles have influenced the cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when

racing bicycles were averagely heavy, with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago

released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models

of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues – the Colnago Super.

Made of Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the frame was

designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with

a geometry inspired by the Super.

The bike is in remarkable condition for its age (1974), having only seen a little use. Included are a
selection of pantographed components, 3ttt bar and stem and Campagnolo Super Record Panto
seatpost. The rest of the groupset is Campagnolo Nuovo Record. The skin rubber brake hoods are
in re-makes & in top condition, Brake and shifter cables are both new. Saddle is an original rare 3ttt
#10 wrapped in leather, chosen to suit the age and style of the bike. Headset is as original as the other
Campagnolo Record components.

Finished in elegant bue with yellow decals, the paint is still in good condition with only
a few small scratches and chips. Some light scratches of the top tube.
All chrome is bright and intact.

Nice wheelset too, featuring a pair of low-flange Campagnolo Record hubs laced to
silber anodised Martano tubular rims, 32 front / 32 rear with rare German Semperit tubulars.
It’s possible to exchange the wheels for a similar set of clincher rims if you prefer, just
let us know and we can organise something for you.

All in all, a top quality, professional grade racing bike with no dents, cracks, rust or
any other problems. This bike meets the entry requirements for any L’Eroica-style event.
