SOMEC Air TS built with a Full Campagnolo Record 8 speed in 59 cm.
SOcietà MECcanica was founded in 1973 by Oliviero Gallegati in Lugo di Romagna (Italy). Being a rather small manufacturer, Somec did not produce many bicycles, especially in their beginnings. Besides perfect craftsmanship they became famous in the 1980s for the use of advanced tubings, lugs and their special paintjobs.
The Air was the top of the line for Somec from the mid 70’s extending into the 80’s with the release of the Air 2001 and 2001 Prestige. Hand made by SOMEC‘s premiere artisan builders, this frame is made of light double butted Columbus TSX steel with SOMEC’s signature flare for beautifully ornate lugs and dressed head to heals in the legendary Campagnolo Record gruppo with 3TTT stem and bars combo.
Function and form blend seamlessly in this dream machine.
