This is a Pinarello Vuelta, a lugged steel road racing bicycle constructed with EL Columbus tubing. The bright red paintwork is adorned with yellow, blue and white circular graphic accents and white decals. The top tube bears the flamboyant paint signature of the late framebuilder Dario Pegoretti. The frame is paired with a fully chrome plated raked fork with a round-shouldered fork crown casting. The seat stays are tidily tucked in to the rear of the seat lug. Particularly nice details include the Pinarello short-reach rear drop outs and prominently webbed bottom bracket casting, and the engraved front derailleur mount. The rear brake cable is discretely routed inside the top tube. This beautiful bicycle was well kept by the original owner. It is in very good condition, but has unfortunately picked up one or two small nicks to the otherwise delightful paint over the years.
This Vuelta was equipped from new with Campagnolo Chorus components. The aero tig welded ITM Eclypse stem grips a 3ttt Forma SL ergopower Due drop handlebar, smartly finished with a new black DEDA cork wrap. We have not removed the red cycle computer used by the first owner to record their mileage and performance data. A slightly used Selle Italia Flite saddle sits on top of a polished aero Campagnolo seat post. The wheel set comprises a pair of 36 hole low flange Campagnolo Chorus hubs laced to Mavic SUP rims with a dark anodised finish.
