Description

Cult Colnago ‘Carbitubo’ road bike, made by ALAN for Colnago in collaboration with Ferrari.

Featuring carbon tubes bonded to aluminium lugs, and aluminium fork with steel shaft. Double carbon down tubes increase stiffness and give a striking look. These Carbitubo frames were favoured by several pro riders including Tony Rominger, who is rumoured to have several in his garage! Fitted out with a late generation Campagnolo Record 8 speed groupset from the mid 1990s, just before the switch to 9 speed. Very sought-after tubular silver Campagnolo Shamal 16/16 aero wheel set, in great condition with a pair of Continental Sprinter tyres. 120mm CroMoly ITM stem, with 40cm Super Italia Pro 2 handlebar and black perforated handlebar tape to match the perforated Selle Italia Flite Titanium saddle. 170mm Campagnolo Record crankset, with Campagnolo Chorus cartridge bottom bracket to give a perfect chain line of approx 43.5mm to the middle. The bike is in top condition with no cracks or dents. All components work well.
