Ugo de Rosa was a man of passion and learning. During his youth he was a budding amateur racer as well as a diligent student of mechanics and engineering and it did not take long for these passions to combine themselves for at just 19 years old he opened his first workshop in Milano and birthed what was to become one of the most celebrated names in Cycling.

Over the years he would be approached by such names as Gianni Motta, Francesco Moser and a young and defiantly competitive Eddy Merkcx who would stop at nothing to make sure he stood atop that podium by the end of the kilometers. Naturally these great men sought after the young genius and his skill and legend continue to grow. Masi, Colnago, Cinelli…. his name now lives amongst the giants in this beautiful velo history of ours.

The Professional was one of the most outstanding achievements from this company. The detail in this bike, gorgeous as it is, does not overshadow the ride hiding in this steel beauty. The SLX tubing is very light and stiff thanks to inner reinforcements, down tube butted section and lighter chain stays. A dream to ride and own… I can say this safely as I ride one of these almost daily and am just as much in love now as the day I restored her.
This Professional comes with an almost complete 1st Generation C-record gruppo with the ultra rare and beautiful cobalt brakes and a freshly re-laced set of Chorus wheels to float through the km.
